KITCHEN REMODEL: THATS EASY!

STEP 1: QUALIFYING THE RIGHT CONTRACTOR FOR YOUR KITCHEN REMODEL!

Tired of looking at your old kitchen???

The day that we say that’s it! I had enough with this kitchen, and I’m ready to start looking for prices to remodel the kitchen. It’s been long due, we all talk about it and think about it from time to time, and there are always other priorities that take place, and we always say the next thing will be the kitchen! Finally, you are ready, now what? Where to start? Who to call? One of the main questions we get asked is, how much will the kitchen remodeling cost us? Can we afford it? And how do we get an estimate for that?

Some of our clients have got to us through their family member, a friend, or a neighbor that we previously have done a project with them.

And some of our clients who hired us for their kitchen remodel found us online and read the amazing reviews, if it’s through Google, Yelp, House, BuildZoom, Angie’s list, etc.

Upon our visit to your home, you should do some research online, look at some of our kitchens remodel pictures, and choose your desired look. As we keep building our website content with pictures, please ask us for our most current kitchen project pictures and videos, and we will gladly show you in person.

DECISION MAKING:

The process is straightforward. We get started with collecting the homeowner information and confirming a date and time for our free kitchen consultation over the phone or if you got to fill up the form online. Once we come out to meet you at your home, we are politely introducing ourselves, and quickly after, we start talking about the kitchen project. What the homeowner like to change, our representative will make some suggestion and bring some new ideas for you to think about, we will take some measurements and ask you few questions, and together we will come up with a brilliant plan for your new kitchen remodel project you were waiting for so long.

We quickly start working on your bid based on your needs. And we will breakdown all the details for what is our responsibility with a final price. And we will be sending it to you via E-mail. Once you have reviewed the proposal, you will let us know if there is anything else to add, and if everything looks great to you, you will be able to confirm right then via E-mail, and we will send you the documents online to be signed.

Congratulations! You are now all set and ready to start your kitchen remodel project!!

This was fairly easier than I thought! What’s next??

STEP 2: KITCHEN REMODEL PREPARATION & PLANING!

We will schedule another meeting to come and take detailed measurements (2nd time) and draw the kitchen project’s layout.
We will schedule a showroom meeting with our location. That’s where you will be able to see your future kitchen on a 3D Design. You will have the option to pick and choose the style & color of the kitchen cabinets you like. And based on your selection, you will have the options presenting what size cabinets go where and where you would like everything to be, but don’t worry, we are the expert to advise you every step of what we recommend.

Once we have the design and confirmed it, we would go to your home and confirm the cabinets’ new measurements (3rd time).

Appliances: You then start looking into appliances that you like to replace, stove, stovetop, gas or electric, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave & wine cooler if you like.

Kitchen Finishes: You will also be able to look online or in the showroom for the kitchen sink and faucet.

Flooring: Same time, you would be able to look into new flooring: wood/ tiles/ vinyl. And baseboards.

Light fixtures: most of our clients like the modern style with recessed light in the kitchen ceiling, 4” or 6”. Depending on your style.
Once you have gathered all the items and purchased them, we are now ready for the next step!

STEP 3: WHAT TO EXPECT IN DEMOLITION DAY?

Before demolition day, you will have to empty the kitchen and make sure you will have some room for all the other items you’ve purchased that I arrive and delivered.
We will also cover all floors and anything in the work area that will not be remodeled, such as doors, windows, handles, light fixtures, etc.
Next, we will start with the countertop demolition and cabinet, flooring, plumbing & electrical, basically got out everything! All you will see are walls and sometimes wood framing, depending on the project.

STEP 4: ROUGH PLUMBING, ELECTRICAL & MECHANICAL!

PLUMBING: Based on our 2D design, we will position the new plumbing for the sink, and we will upgrade the water supply to copper to bring it up to code.
ELECTRICAL: The same thing with the rough electrical, we will replace old outlets, switches (240AMP for an electric stove) and install new ones as needed per code.
MECHANICAL: Either we are keeping the same kitchen layout, and there is no change, or there is a change, and we will need to relocate the kitchen hood, which requires us to relocate a new electrical and run a new hood duct to the exterior roof or wall in some cases.
Once we are all ready, we will call for our first inspection for rough plumbing, electrical & mechanical.

STEP 5: HOW TO PREPARE FOR INSPECTION??

Don’t worry. We will do the heavy lifting, and we will handle the inspection. Once the inspector passes the kitchen rough inspections, we will receive a signature on the permit card, or if we didn’t pass, the inspector would leave a note with comments stating what needs to be corrected. Usually, we pass on the first time! But after all, we are all humans, and everything is possible!

STEP 6: KITCHEN CABINET INSTALLATION!

Finally, we have been waiting for this phase to come. This process typically takes anywhere between 1 week to 2 weeks, depending on our kitchen size, accessibility, and the cabinets’ make.
Once we are done with the cabinets installed, you can now see your kitchen’s new shape starting to appear. We will continue installing all the finish panels and crown moldings if it’s part of our project. And make sure all of the kitchen drawers and doors are place nice and even.

STEP 7: KITCHEN FLOORING INSTALLATION!

Some like to install the kitchen flooring before the kitchen cabinet installations. We would highly recommend installing the flooring last. The less traffic of our labor guys on them, the better chance to keep them brand new for you! But regardless, we are always careful and covering the flooring with plastic or paper.

STEP 8: KITCHEN COUNTER-TOP INSTALLATION!

There are a few options for kitchen countertop granite, quartz, porcelain (press here to find more). The main option selected is a prefab countertop, and the other option is a full slab that will required fabrications. The process is straightforward, and it’s more cost-effective. With the full slab, we will have our fabricator pick up the slab from the countertop supplier, and he will shape the slab with the finished edge you like and cut it to the sink size that you have chosen for the project, then bring it to the job site and install them on the cabinets.

STEP 9: KITCHEN APPLIANCES INSTALLATION!

Now that we have the kitchen cabinets and countertop installed, we can slide the range, install the oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, sink & faucet.
We will test the appliances to make sure they are installed properly and safe to be used.

STEP 10: FINAL INSPECTION AND TOUCH UPS AND YOUR KITCHEN REMODEL IS DONE!!

Great, we are almost there! Now we will schedule the final inspection, and you must make sure that you have a smoke alarm and C.M combo installed in the living room, hallway, and bedrooms. Inspectors can and will fail the final inspection if we don’t have it.
Once we passed the final inspection, we will finish all the paint touch-ups and make sure all the last items are installed and done for our kitchen remodel!
The next step is to look back and realize how your vision has become a reality!!
STEP 11: COMPLEMENTING THE HARD WORKERS AND SUBMITTING A 5 STAR REVIEW ONLINE!
